Overview
Real Estate and Land Use Law
Murray helps clients achieve strategically aligned outcomes in matters involving real estate and land use law, including planning, zoning, development and other regulatory issues, as well as financing. Murray negotiates business and commercial transaction agreements, loans and other financing packages, in addition to helping settle disputes.
Government Advocacy and Administrative Law
Before state and local administrative bodies and agencies, Murray represents clients on matters involving general government permitting, regulated industries and procurement activities.
Government and Political Experience
As an Indiana State Senator, Murray represented portions of Marion and Hamilton counties. He was chairman of Mitch Daniels' successful campaign for Indiana Governor in 2004 and chairman of the Indiana Republican Party from 2006 to 2010.
In the Indiana Senate, Murray was active in a wide range of issues and recognized repeatedly as an outstanding legislator. While in the General Assembly, he authored a successful bill providing for wholesale reform in Indiana's child protection and adoption process. Before leaving the Senate, Murray was the ranking member of two committees — Economic Development & Technology and Insurance & Financial Institutions — and chair of the Governmental Affairs Subcommittee.
