Overview
Meaghan Geatens represents clients in litigation and dispute resolution. Meg's practice includes a wide range of complex commercial litigation, including defense of white collar, class action and individual consumer claims. Meg has experience in various aspects of legal proceedings, including legal research, motion practice, discovery and trial preparation.
Meg also maintains a robust pro bono practice. Her case experience ranges from cases where she has argued for veterans' rights to those where she has advocated for criminal justice.
Prior Experience
Before joining the firm, Meg served as a judicial intern for the Hon. Jane Roth of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. She also interned at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, supporting AUSAs with various stages of federal prosecutions.
While in law school, Meg worked as a student attorney at the Villanova Civil Justice Clinic, providing pro bono representation to low-income clients in family law and landlord/tenant disputes. She appeared in Montgomery County and Philadelphia County Family Courts, and Philadelphia Municipal Court under attorney supervision. At Villanova, Meg was also a research assistant to Prof. Josephine Nelson and was a Managing Board member of the Villanova Law Review, which published a comment that she authored in Volume 64.
Meg was a summer associate at Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP in 2019.
Personal Interests
Meg loves basketball and played at the NCAA level for one year during college. She also enjoys reading poetry and cooking.
