Overview
Roxann Honn is highly qualified in tax, estate planning and estate administration matters. Throughout her career, she has worked closely with family offices, investment advisors and accountants. She has located missing heirs, worked with major auction houses to sell paintings and other tangible personal property, including locating a buyer for a Rolls Royce collection, and she has an extensive knowledge of jewelry.
Roxann assists the attorneys in:
- Preparing documents to open and close domiciliary and nondomiciliary estates
- Preparing estate and trust accountings; analyzing and organizing records and documents
- Conducting factual research involving assets, liabilities, titling of assets, claims, valuation, contracts and virtually all other matters relating to estates and trusts
- Implementing the techniques to form trusts, including funding of revocable, irrevocable, insurance, GST, marital, and family trusts and CRUTs
- Assisting clients in coordinating with their other professional advisers on estate and succession planning, business/investment tax and charitable planning
- Preparing and filing federal and state estate tax returns, which include closely held businesses, 2032(a) valuations, 6166 valuations and Generation-Skipping Tax issues
- Preparing for, answering and attending audits of Federal Estate Tax Returns and Individual Income Tax Returns
- Preparing and filing returns for federal and state individual, gift, fiduciary; private foundation, partnership, subchapter S and CRUT returns
- Keeping financial records, preparing for quarterly meetings and assisting with the issuance of grants for private family foundations
- Assisting with litigation in estates
- Assisting with business transactions and transfers of real estate
- Assisting with firm’s pro bono matters when an estate is involved
