Overview

Brianna Marshall supports clients seeking guidance on a variety of environmental legal topics, including transactional, regulatory and litigation matters. Brianna has experience with a range of U.S. federal and state environmental statutes and regulations, including the Clean Air Act (CAA), the Clean Water Act (CWA), the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA/Superfund), and the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA).

Brianna enjoys utilizing her educational and professional background in the natural sciences, including evolutionary biology and ecology, to provide clients with a unique perspective on environmental legal issues. She maintains a global viewpoint in her practice, advising both domestic and international clients on the practical implications of environmental law.

Prior Experience

Prior to Faegre Drinker, Brianna was an associate at another Am Law 100 firm, where she advised clients on environmental issues related to corporate compliance, federal and state permitting, internal investigations, climate change litigation, land use, zoning, and due diligence for mergers and acquisitions as well as private equity funding.

Brianna also previously served as a judicial law clerk during a two-year clerkship at the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania, a statewide, intermediate appellate court with specialized jurisdiction over administrative and civil public law, including environmental and land issues.

While studying at Boston College Law School, Brianna completed the Environmental Law Teaching Program, which offers upper-year law students the opportunity to develop and teach a university-level undergraduate Environmental Law and Policy course. Additionally, she earned a Certificate in Land & Environmental Law in recognition of her academic, research and writing, and practical-service experience. Brianna also participated in the law school’s Community Enterprise Clinic, representing low- and moderate-income entrepreneurs, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations in business law and transactional matters.

As a component of her undergraduate degree, she earned a minor in French & Francophone Studies. Brianna continually seeks opportunities to improve and sustain her French language skills.
