Overview

Stacy is a civil litigator focusing on commercial and class action disputes in both state and federal court. In her commercial dispute practice, she has investigated and defended against claims of fraud, breach of contract and tortious interference. She has also represented employers bringing affirmative claims against employees for breach of confidentiality. In her class action practice, she has defended against alleged violations of state and federal privacy laws, as well as landlord-tenant laws. Stacy advises clients across a range of industries throughout all phases of litigation. She offers guidance through written and oral advocacy, discovery, motions, trial preparation, and appellate work.

A few examples of Stacy's recent work include:

  • Defending an IT-provider in a breach of contract dispute filed by a vendor in federal court. Stacy assisted by investigating the claims, drafting a motion to dismiss and preparing the lead partner for a successful mediation.
  • Developing absent class member testimony by interviewing and/or deposing absent class members to defeat certification of state law habitability claims against a large property manager.
  • Outlining a successful motion to dismiss Biometric Information Privacy Act claims against an employer on novel preemption grounds.

Stacy maintains a robust pro bono practice, with a recent focus on the privacy rights of pregnant and parenting individuals.
