Alexander E. Preller

Overview

Alexander Preller uses his multijurisdictional and multidisciplinary perspective to help businesses succeed in all aspects of labor and employment law. His primary focus is on traditional labor issues, such as union representation petitions and unfair labor practice charges before the National Labor Relations Board, negotiation of collective bargaining agreements, and grievance arbitration proceedings. Alex also assists clients with a variety of employment law matters as well, including discrimination charges before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and related federal litigation, drafting employment agreements, severance agreements and employee handbooks, and class and collective action litigation under the Fair Labor Standards Act and its state-law counterparts.

Past Experience

Before joining Faegre Drinker, Alex clerked for the Honorable Mark S. Massa of the Indiana Supreme Court, where he honed research and writing skills and developed a deeper understanding of Indiana law. Alex also worked as an associate for a bet-the-company commercial litigation firm in New York, where he worked on all aspects of pretrial practice, including pleadings, motions, discovery, memoranda of law, depositions, exhibits, alternative dispute resolution and preparation of opening statements.
