Overview

Diego J. Rosado is a business litigator who focuses his practice on assessing, managing, and resolving construction and related litigations and disputes, often involving commercial and non-residential buildings and real property. Diego also represents institutional and other clients in complex commercial litigations and disputes spanning multiple industries, including construction and real estate, manufacturing and procurement, and commercial leasing.

Clients rely on Diego to strategically analyze and address the legal disputes affecting their businesses in a thoughtful and practical fashion. Clients have consistently recognized Diego’s ability to present a clear and thorough analysis of the issues at stake as well as his persuasive writing skills.

Diego also serves as the firm’s hiring partner for the Florham Park office. His responsibilities in that role include interviewing and hiring summer associates to the Florham Park office and leading the office’s summer associate program.

Construction / Real Estate Litigation and Disputes

Diego handles litigations and disputes for clients in the construction, building solutions and real estate litigation space. Diego has experience prosecuting and defending claims both upstream and downstream on behalf of his clients and litigating issues relating to default, delay, acceleration, extra work and assessed back charges.

Commercial Litigation

Diego has experience litigating business disputes involving a variety of commercial contexts. He has handled numerous matters involving or otherwise relating to supply and other procurement-related agreements, commercial advertising disputes, and executive employment agreements.

  • Counseling clients with respect to best practices surrounding various procurement related agreements and special event agreements

  • Representation of a leading management consultant firm in response to a variety of requests for information

Financial Services Industry

Diego has further experience representing broker-dealers and other clients in the financial services industry with respect to disputes pending before FINRA and various courts.

Prior Experience

Following graduation from law school, Diego served as a judicial clerk to Justice Helen E. Hoens of the New Jersey Supreme Court. Diego’s clerkship exposed him to dozens of civil litigations, in the commercial context and otherwise, before New Jersey’s highest state court.

Personal Interests

Diego is an avid fan of the New York Yankees, New York Jets, and Brooklyn Nets, as well as the NFL, NBA and MLB more generally. He also enjoys playing softball, exercising, and reading historical fiction and nonfiction novels.
