Overview
Jane has more than two decades of experience as a legal strategist focusing on commercial litigation and appeals. She has worked with Fortune 500 companies, large and small businesses, public and private universities, nonprofits, municipalities, and private individuals to assist with some of their most challenging litigation needs.
Litigation, Trials & Appeals
Jane has handled breach of contract, fraud and consumer fraud, negligence, strict liability, and constitutional claims, among others. She has experience navigating virtually every kind of litigation including class actions, mass tort actions, judicial review of administrative proceedings, and the state and federal appellate process. In addition, Jane represents utility clients before the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (IURC) and on appeal.

Jane actively advises clients in higher education. She has served as a trusted advocate for numerous colleges and universities in the state and federal courts. She also advises national Greek-letter organizations on dispute resolution and compliance matters. Her areas of focus include counseling related to internal governance, membership discipline and risk management. Jane values partnership with these and other nonprofit institutions to navigate legal concerns amidst mission-driven focus.
Early Career & Personal Interests
Jane began her career clerking for the Hon. Kenneth F. Ripple on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. She is a recovering English major and especially enjoys Victorian literature, Shakespearean theater, and ultra-competitive word games with her family.
