A cable services provider negotiated a favorable settlement in a first of its kind attempt to use the class action device to impose liability based on net neutrality principles. The plaintiffs’ claims arose out of the advertising and sale of the cable company's high-speed internet service to the consumer, allegedly failing to make it known that a consumer’s Internet speed and connection would be intentionally blocked, slowed and delayed by the cable company.
