Underwriter’s Counsel for $300M Taxable Bonds, Series 2019A

Our firm served as underwriter’s counsel in the issuance of $300 million of Taxable Bonds, Series 2019A by the trustees of the University of Pennsylvania. This issuance of Century Bonds — bonds with a 100-year maturity — took advantage of historically low interest rates to provide additional liquidity to finance the university’s general corporate needs. Our firm has acted as counsel to the underwriters in over $2 billion in financings for the university since 2004.
