Multi-Specialty Physician Practice Receives General Counsel Representation

Faegre Drinker represents a large, multi-specialty physician practice in all of its operations, including physician-hospital relationships, managed care contracting, the structuring of its internal physician compensation program, and its strategic growth opportunities, including the supported transition of certain specialty practices from hospital employment to Practice partnership/employment. The firm also helps the practice manage compliance with the Anti-Kickback Statute, the Stark Law, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and other privacy laws and similar state law requirements, has provided counsel on antitrust and other matters, and has represented the clinic in an investigation of its participation with a pharmaceutical representative in an illegal kickback scheme.
