Faegre Drinker’s preeminent long-term care insurance (LTCi) team includes more than 30 attorneys with deep long-term care insurance experience. We share a commitment to continually innovate and evolve, much like the product at the center of our practice. Drawing on the vast intellectual capital represented by our team and the broader firm, our attorneys assist LTCi carriers and other industry members in all stages of the product life cycle. We advise on individual and group product development; policy wording; regulatory and compliance matters; privacy and security issues; claims review; rate issues, including litigation against regulators; market conduct exams; complaint handling; pre-litigation dispute resolution; individual and class actions; and insolvency/liquidation matters. We perform compliance audits and frequently serve as counsel on claims audits. We represent carriers in the sale or reinsurance of LTCi blocks and have extensive experience working with combination products, in which chronic illness coverage is provided as a rider to — and/or an extension of — life insurance policy or annuity benefits.
