Jay Brudz Quoted in CSO Online

Washington, D.C., partner Jay Brudz was recently quoted in a CSO Online article titled, “The IoT liability jumble.” The Internet of Things (IoT) is a term used to describe the network of physical objects—devices, vehicles, buildings and other items embedded with electronics, software, sensors, and network connectivity—that enables these objects to collect and exchange data.

The number of connected “things” is expected to expand exponentially and Jay declares in the article that it is already a “dumb phrase.”

“In years to come, it’s going to be everything but computers with a human interface, so it’s just going to be the Internet,” he said.

The article also discusses legal liability issues around vulnerability with so many connected mediums. Jay agrees saying that with the rush to get devices to the market, “security remains an afterthought.”
