FaegreBD Represents Interactive Intelligence in $1.4 Billion Sale to Genesys

Faegre Baker Daniels is representing Interactive Intelligence Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: ININ), a global leader of cloud services for customer engagement, as it is acquired by market-leading omnichannel customer experience company Genesys Telecommunications Laboratories, Inc., in a transaction valued at approximately $1.4 billion. The companies announced that they entered a definitive agreement on August 31, with closing expected to occur by the end of 2016, subject to customary closing conditions.

The transaction will bring together two of the best companies in the customer experience industry with complementary product portfolios serving adjacent market segments. Interactive Intelligence is a public Indianapolis-based company with a 20-plus year history and a global presence.
