Partner Sandy Grannum to be Honored with New York State Bar Association Award
Drinker Biddle is pleased to announce that Florham Park partner Sandy Grannum will receive the New York State Bar Association’s (NYSBA) 2019 Kay Crawford Murray Award.
The Kay Crawford Murray Memorial Award honors women in the legal profession who recognize the value of diversity and who have dedicated their time to advancing the professional development of other female lawyers. Recipients are also recognized for their distinguished legal careers and activity in bar associations.
A managing partner of the firm as well as a co-chair of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Team, Sandy concentrates her practice on securities, broker/dealer arbitration, litigation, mediation and regulatory defense. She represents banks, brokerage firms, clearinghouses, investment advisers, insurance companies and other financial services entities, and related individuals in arbitrations before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the American Arbitration Association and JAMS; in fact, she has tried more than 60 FINRA arbitrations. Sandy is a driving force behind the recently launched Best Interest Compliance Team, a multipractice team assembled to assist financial services clients with staying ahead of new industry regulations.
The Women in Law Section will honor Sandy at its awards luncheon during the NYSBA’s Annual Meeting on Tuesday, January 15, 2019.
