Faegre Baker Daniels Admits 12 Lawyers to Partnership, Promotes 2 to Counsel

Faegre Baker Daniels is pleased to announce that 12 lawyers will be admitted to the firm’s partnership and two associates will be promoted to counsel, effective Jan. 1, 2020.

Chicago

Lindsey Hogan provides sophisticated counsel to employers and businesses during complex employment disputes, including class and collective actions and commercial litigation. She also leads investigations involving executive misconduct, ethical violations, and discrimination and retaliation allegations. 

Indianapolis

Kip McDonald defends and counsels clients in product liability, multidistrict, and mass tort litigation matters nationwide. He collaborates with clients to develop defense strategies and manages the details, from pre-suit negotiation, pretrial proceedings, including complicated international e-discovery, to expert discovery and trial. He also counsels clients in the medical device industry with regard to marketing, regulatory submissions, and communications with regulatory bodies related to adverse events and quality system regulations.

Jacqueline Pimentel-Gannon counsels a wide array of nonprofit organizations on matters ranging from formation and tax exemption, to governance, ongoing IRS compliance and dissolution. She advises clients on grantmaking, charitable solicitation, annual returns, unrelated business income, activities of related and subsidiary entities, and various other nonprofit-related issues. She also provides real estate and other general legal services to organizations that are exempt from federal and state income taxes.

Daniel Pulliam represents clients in federal and state investigatory matters, internal investigations, appellate matters, environmental tort claims, nonprofit and non-compete litigation and contract and antitrust claims. He has advised institutions on First Amendment issues and compliance with Fourth Amendment search and seizure principles.

Pablo Svirsky advises and supports companies on everything corporate, from large M&A transactions to simple commercial contracts. He represents public and private companies in acquisitions, divestitures, supply and distribution agreements, service contracts, business formation, and general corporate matters.

Minneapolis

Nick Anderson handles patent preparation, prosecution and infringement analysis for clients in a range of industries. His practice includes intellectual property portfolio analysis and strategy, U.S. and international patent preparation and prosecution, and patent validity and infringement evaluations. He also focuses on inter partes review, post-grant proceedings and litigation support.

Elsa Bullard leads clients through business litigation matters, especially environmental litigation, defense of consumer claims and contract disputes. She assists clients in a variety of industries, including the transportation industry, where she advises on cutting-edge issues related to autonomous vehicles (AVs).

Alison Bure advises lenders and borrowers in connection with complex debt financings and other commercial finance transactions. She represents commercial and investment banks, other financial institutions and companies in syndicated, club and single-bank loan transactions, including senior secured and unsecured credit facilities, mezzanine debt financings, securitizations, private equity lending, and loan and portfolio sale transactions. Bure also counsels lenders, tribes and tribal entities nationwide in Indian tribal finance, including gaming finance.

Peter Magnuson represents clients in complex commercial litigation across the country, particularly in disputes involving securities, real-estate-related consumer claims and trade secrets. He also focuses on litigation involving the sports industry, where he defends clients in high-stakes litigation both at the trial and appellate levels.

Sam Rosenbaum guides clients through M&A transactions large and small, public and private, strategic and financial, including leveraged buyouts, sales, mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and financing transactions. He also advises companies on SEC reporting and corporate governance matters.

Lauren Steinhaeuser advises clients as they navigate complex intellectual property disputes across diverse fields, including computer software, 3D printing, biotechnology, chemical solutions and surgical methods. She also advises clients on the innovative potential and legal implications of evolving technology on the business landscape, from artificial intelligence and blockchain to privacy and cybersecurity.

Shanghai

Claire Zhao assists clients with investigations involving internal compliance issues, anti-bribery, code of conduct violations, white collar crime, FCPA violations as well as crisis management and proactive compliance efforts, due diligence and training. In addition to her compliance and investigation work, Zhao advises on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.

She represents banking and insurance clients in litigation involving contract disputes, consumer debt collection, securities, credit card financing and processing, and mergers and acquisitions. Carter also represents clients in commercial property tax appeals.
