Faegre Drinker Recognized in the 2021 Edition of The Legal 500

The Legal 500 United States 2021 recommends Faegre Drinker’s corporate, investment management, product liability and mass torts, and trade secrets and non-competes practices in five categories, with several attorneys receiving individual rankings.

Under Investment Funds, Faegre Drinker was ranked in the Mutual/Registered/Exchange-Traded Funds category. Partner Michael Malloy was recognized in The Legal 500’s “Hall of Fame” under the Mutual/Registered/Exchange-Traded Funds category. This recognition highlights partners who continually provide clients with excellent service and who are at the pinnacle of their profession, and criteria for entry is to have been recognized by The Legal 500 as one of the elite leading lawyers for six consecutive years. Partner Joshua Deringer was named as one of The Legal 500’s “Leading Lawyers.”

The firm’s corporate group was recommended under two categories: Capital Markets: Debt Offerings and M&A: Middle-Market ($500M-999M).

In the Capital Markets: Debt Offerings category, the firm is noted for its continued representation of high-profile issuers that regularly tap the debt markets.

In the M&A: Middle-Market ($500M-999M) category, the firm is noted for having a particularly strong market position throughout the Midwest, though the team also handles M&A for public and private companies nationwide. In terms of sector experience, Faegre Drinker is also noted for its particular strengths in healthcare and technology.

Under the Intellectual Property category, the firm was ranked in Trade Secrets (Litigation and Non-Contentious Matters). One respondent noted that the “The Faegre Drinker trade secrets team stands out among its peers for its ability to provide a cross-functional team, with supporting expertise in patent and contract litigation.” Partner Lora Brzezynski was ranked as one of The Legal 500’s “Next Generation Partners” under the category.

The firm’s product liability and mass torts team was ranked in Product Liability, Mass Tort and Class Action – Defense: Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices. Individuals from the group are noted for having extensive experience defending medical device claims, class actions, and mass tort and multi-district proceedings.
