Prop 22 and the Employer Playbook: Navigating the Supreme Court’s Gig Economy Decision

International labor and employment group and San Francisco office leader Cheryl Orr moderated a roundtable discussion titled “Prop 22 and the Employer Playbook: Navigating the Supreme Court’s Gig Economy Decision” presented by the Association of Corporate Counsel San Francisco Bay Area.

The discussion centered on the 2020 California ballot initiative Proposition 22, which greatly reshaped California’s gig economy and marked a significant change in labor laws. The panel explored the litigation that followed through Castellanos v. State of California and how the outcome of the case and Prop 22 are shaping a new reality in labor and employment.
