Celebrating the Historic Service of Judge Ilana Rovner and Retired Judge Ann Claire Williams on the Seventh Circuit

Business litigation partner Jane Dall Wilson and associate Joan Akalaonu coauthored an article for The Circuit Rider, the journal of the Seventh Circuit Bar Association. They interviewed the Honorable Ilana Rovner and the Honorable Ann Claire Williams, who is now retired.

In the Q&A article, the authors explained that Judge Rovner was the first woman to serve on the Seventh Circuit, and Retired Judge Williams was the first person of color to serve on the Seventh Circuit. Judge Rovner and Retired Judge Williams shared insights on attending law school, advancing their legal careers and serving as judges in the Northern District of Illinois and on the Seventh Circuit.
