Overview
T.J. Keefe advises clients on securities and investment management matters, with an emphasis on investment company issues. He counsels clients through the fund registration and formation process, handles various securities filings, and advises boards of directors on issues relating to fund governance and regulatory compliance. T.J. works on various fund types and structures, including open-end and closed-end funds, interval funds, exchange-traded funds, multi-manager funds, multiple series funds and multiple class funds. He has experience advising clients on a broad range of matters, including internal and external fund reorganizations, the preparation and negotiation of fund agreements, and the receipt of exemptive relief from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Prior Experience
T.J. was previously a judicial intern for the Honorable James Knoll Gardner of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Before attending law school, he was an elementary school teacher at KIPP New Orleans Schools and a Teach for America corps member in Hazlehurst, Mississippi.
