Faegre Baker Daniels Admits 14 Associates and Counsel to Partnership

Fourteen of Faegre Baker Daniels' former associates and counsel were admitted to the firm's partnership effective Jan. 1, 2015.

The partnership voted to admit the firm's following lawyers to partner, listed by office:

Boulder, Colo.

Matt Stamski practices in the corporate group, where he focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, venture financings, securities offerings, commercial contracts and counseling emerging companies. Stamski is a graduate of the University of Colorado Law School (J.D., Order of the Coif, 2006) and Harvard University (A.B., cum laude, 1996).

Denver

Joel D. Sayres is a member of the intellectual property group and focuses on patent litigation. He has litigated intellectual property disputes in venues throughout the U.S., including patent infringement actions involving medical devices, storage systems and wireless technology. Sayres is a graduate of Yale Law School (J.D., 2002) and Haverford College (B.A., magna cum laude, with honors, 1997).

Fort Wayne, Ind.

Brian Clifford practices in FaegreBD's construction and real estate litigation group, representing owners, developers, investors, design-builders, contractors, automation technology integrators and specialty construction vendors in bringing projects online throughout North America. He is a graduate of the Indiana University Maurer School of Law, Bloomington (J.D., magna cum laude, Order of the Coif, 2006) and Indiana University (B.A., 2003).

Indianapolis

Jessica Benson Cox practices product liability law, defending pharmaceutical companies, device manufacturers and other industry leaders. She has served as national and local counsel in matters involving local anesthetics, anti-psychotic medications, cosmetics and orthopedic medical devices. Cox is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Law (J.D., cum laude, 2006) and Vanderbilt University (B.S., magna cum laude, 2003).

Christine Long practices in the corporate group, where she focuses in securities law, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate law. Long counsels public companies on disclosure and periodic reporting requirements. She is a graduate of the Indiana University Maurer School of Law, Bloomington (J.D., magna cum laude, Order of the Coif, 1995) and Washington University (B.A., with distinction, 1992).

Jennifer A. Pearcy practices in the finance and restructuring group. She represents financial institutions and borrowers in commercial finance transactions, including secured and unsecured syndicated and single bank credit agreements, complex real estate development financings, and acquisition financings. Pearcy is a graduate of the Indiana University Maurer School of Law, Bloomington (J.D., 2005) and Indiana University (B.A., 2002).

Louis (Lou) T. Perry practices intellectual property law, focusing on trademark, copyright, advertising and media matters. A litigator, he serves as trial counsel for clients in federal and state courts and before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Perry is a graduate of Notre Dame Law School (J.D., cum laude, 2005) and the University of Notre Dame (B.A., magna cum laude, 2002).

Minneapolis

Shane Anderson is a member of the product liability and environmental group. He litigates complex product liability matters, including agribusiness, biotechnology, toxic torts, mass torts and class actions. Anderson is a graduate of Cornell Law School (J.D., cum laude, 2006) and Boston University (B.A., summa cum laude, with honors, 2000).

Eric J. Howe practices in the finance and restructuring group, representing clients in complex restructuring transactions. His experience includes business reorganizations, debt restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, and litigation. Howe is a graduate of the University of Iowa College of Law (J.D., with distinction, 2005) and Truman State University (B.S., 2002).

Elaine Kumpula leads the global mobility section of the firm's immigration and global mobility practice. She represents multinational clients on U.S. in-bound immigration matters and advises on complex global visa and compliance issues for key corporate employees. Kumpula is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School (J.D., cum laude, 1985) and the University of Minnesota (B.S., with honors, 1981).

Andrew Murphy is a labor and employment litigator. He represents companies in class and collective actions, particularly those involving wage and hour claims, independent contractor classification, joint employment and agency liability, and Title VII. Murphy is a graduate of Notre Dame Law School (J.D., magna cum laude, 2007) and Lehigh University (B.A., summa cum laude, 2004).

Leita Walker is an intellectual property lawyer who resolves disputes and counsels clients on media, advertising and privacy law. She handles copyright and false advertising claims, defends libel and invasion of privacy lawsuits, and obtains access to government records. Walker is a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Law (J.D., Order of the Coif, valedictorian, 2005) and the University of Kansas (B.S., 2002).

Allen Wheeler practices in the real estate group and is experienced in handling purchases and sales, development, financing, leasing and environmental matters. He also advises clients on the real estate and environmental implications of mergers and acquisitions. Wheeler is a graduate of the William Mitchell College of Law (J.D., cum laude, 2005) and Regents College (B.S., 1998).

Elizabeth (Liz) Cowan Wright is an intellectual property litigator who focuses on patent litigation and complex IP litigation. She has counseled clients in the hard disk drive technology, telecommunications, food and medical device industries.
