Monarch Beverage Co., Indiana’s largest beer distributor, sold its business to Illinois-based Reyes Beer Division, the largest beer distributor in the United States, in December 2020. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 1947, Monarch is a third-generation family-owned business, with 600 employees delivering roughly 16.1 million beverage cases to more than 6,000 customers annually. Faegre Drinker represented Monarch in the sale, which expands Reyes’ footprint into Indiana for the first time since the company was established in Florida in 2011.
