Baker & Daniels Partner Chairing Regional Marketing Partnership
Tim Haffner, a partner with Baker & Daniels LLP, is chairman of the board for a regional partnership that has strengthened its focus on marketing the assets of nine counties in northeast Indiana.
The Northeast Indiana Regional Marketing Partnership has named a 14-member board of directors and taken in Indiana Northeast Development, a 24-year-old nonprofit with regional focus and regional support by local economic development officials. Haffner and Mac Parker, another partner with Baker & Daniels, were part of discussions to define the vision for a new united regional entity.
Formed last fall, the regional partnership is marketing the assets of Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wells and Whitley counties. The organization wants to raise $6.5 million over five years from foundations, as well as public and private sectors, and eventually become a 19-member board.
Haffner, who joined Baker & Daniels in 1985, is Managing Partner of the Fort Wayne office, practicing in corporate and commercial business. He represents clients in a broad range of matters, including closely held businesses to publicly traded companies. Haffner has counseled entrepreneurs and senior officers on various businesses, including healthcare providers; financial institutions; sophisticated manufacturing, distribution and sales organizations; and baseball teams.
Active in civic activities, Haffner is a former chairman of the Allen County Economic Development Alliance, Greater Fort Wayne Chamber of Commerce and Goodwill Industries of Michiana's Fort Wayne Division. He also is a past director for United Way of Allen County and Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
