Florham Park
Overview
Office Leader
The office was established in the 1930s and boasts a rich history in northern New Jersey. Today, we are one of the region’s preeminent firms, known and respected for our trial lawyers and corporate deal and real estate capabilities.
Community Involvement
The Florham Park office is committed to community service and the education and advancement of today’s youth. The passion of our attorneys and staff colleagues is reflected in their continuous contributions of time and talent to legal education programs and various fundraisers.
Recent community volunteer efforts include:
Law2Life
Law2Life is an ongoing legal enrichment program developed and implemented in cooperation with Eastside High School in Paterson, New Jersey. The program inspires students by introducing them to the legal profession and other careers in business and government. Every other week during the school year, students receive a comprehensive overview of trial advocacy and are asked to test their trial skills — first in front of their peers and later before a sitting judge. Students also have the opportunity to meet lawyers and business professionals to learn about their work, career paths and the real-life legal issues they encounter.
Habitat for Humanity
Attorneys and staff colleagues from our Florham Park office came together to volunteer for Morris Habitat for Humanity. Outer home structures were assembled on the Florham Park office campus. This non-profit organization has built or rehabilitated more than 65 homes in 15 municipalities, serving more than 300 people.
Market Street Mission
As part of WeGetInvolved, Faegre Drinker’s community outreach program, members of our office helped organize, price and prepare items for the Market Street Mission’s thrift store. In addition, we used funds collected throughout the year for “Jeans Day” and donated new clothing for homeless men who are enrolled in a 12-month rehabilitation program. Since 1889, the Market Street Mission has been helping individuals in Northern New Jersey overcome homelessness, addiction and poverty.
NJ LEEP (Law and Education Empowerment Project)
NJ LEEP is a college access and success program that serves students and families in the greater Newark area. Our Florham Park office recently welcomed two interns from this worthwhile program.
Jersey Cares
As part of our firm’s Martin Luther King Jr., Day of Service program, our attorneys and staff colleagues volunteered in support of Jersey Cares, a non-profit organization that engages in rewarding, effective efforts to address community-identified needs. Our office helped assemble 140 “first night” kits for displaced families in the community.
