Community Involvement
The Princeton office’s attorneys and staff colleagues have a proud history of donating their time and talents to various nonprofit organizations. The office supports numerous groups that help the economically disadvantaged and those with serious illnesses.
Recent community service efforts include:
D&R Greenway Land Trust
D&R Greenway works to permanently preserve and protect an interconnected network of natural lands and open spaces that allows nature to flourish, provides a healthy and accessible environment, and inspires a public commitment to the preservation of land through policies, education and strategic partnerships.
Habitat for Humanity
For over 20 years, the Princeton office has supported Habitat for Humanity and its mission of bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope. Our attorneys and staff colleagues provide legal and other assistance including obtaining land-use approvals and engaging in pro bono transactional work on behalf of the organization. In 2019, the firm was honored by Habitat for Humanity for exemplifying its values in the area of corporate philanthropy. Habitat chose to recognize the firm for the legal representation and support provided by our real estate group.
McCarter Theatre
McCarter Theatre Center for the Performing Arts, a Tony Award winner for outstanding regional theatre, is one of the most active cultural centers in the nation, offering more than 200 performances of theater, dance, music and special events each year. The Center also demonstrates an unwavering commitment to engaging, educating and cultivating a broad range of audiences, making the arts accessible to all people.
Mercer County Bar Foundation
The Mercer County Bar Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation formed by the Mercer County Bar Association. It provides funding for legal education to the public, and facilitates legal programs, seminars, grants and annual law school scholarships. In collaboration with the Community Projects and Young Lawyers Committees, the Foundation offers volunteer services for local charitable organizations and raises funds for the Young Lawyers' annual designated charity.
PlanSmart
PlanSmart is an independent, nonprofit planning and research organization committed to improving the quality of community life through the advancement of sound land use planning and regional cooperation.
Toys for Tots
The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to children in the community for which the campaign is conducted. Each holiday season, the Princeton office donates toys and other items to this deserving organization.
Arm in Arm
The Princeton is proud to support Arm in Arm, a nonprofit organization that connects people in need of food, housing and job support with individuals who want to help them. We have volunteered at the organization’s food bank in Trenton, and Arm in Arm also was the beneficiary of our first MLK, Jr. Day of Service, in which we assembled and donated personal care kits and blankets for Arm in Arm constituents.
