Living and Working in London
London is a leading global city and financial centre. Rich with history, landmarks such as St. Paul's Cathedral, The Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square and the London Eye abound. The city is home to some of the best theatres, museums and galleries in the world, and caters to nearly every cuisine around the globe, making it ideal for arts and culture enthusiasts. It also hosts an array of iconic sporting venues, wonderful pubs and beautiful parks all around the city.
Firm and Community Involvement
London Diversity & Inclusion Committee
The London Diversity & Inclusion Committee is an associate-led initiative open to all colleagues in the London office. Working in conjunction with our U.S.-based counterparts, we promote diversity & inclusion as one of Faegre Drinker's core values. Our intention is to create and maintain an environment where all perspectives are welcome and valued, and where everyone is provided with opportunities to develop and advance both within Faegre Drinker and our wider communities. We typically focus on the following areas:
- Access to the legal profession
- Training and learning development
- Recruitment and retention
- Volunteering and client events
London Associates' Committee
The London Associates' Committee comprises all associates, trainee solicitors and paralegals in the London office. The purpose of the committee is to coordinate communication between the office's associates and its leadership and to discuss and implement initiatives that are important to them.
London Women Forward Committee
We are committed to being a force for change and fostering an environment in which women thrive and can progress. The London Women Forward Committee supports the recruitment, advancement and retention of women professionals by building connections across the firm, facilitating business and client development opportunities, benchmarking progress, and offering training and other programs to support the development of women leaders.
Pro Bono Initiatives
The London office has an active pro bono program as part of Faegre Drinker's long tradition of pro bono service. We mainly assist charities and voluntary organisations on a range of matters and support the Hackney Community Law Centre's debt advice clinic. We also aim to expand the range of opportunities available for our lawyers to support our communities through pro bono service.
