Baker & Daniels Elects Nine Former Associates to Firm Partnership

Baker & Daniels LLP has announced the addition of nine new partners, effective January 1, 2010. At the law firm's annual fall meeting, the partnership voted to admit the following former Baker & Daniels associates to partner:

Matthew T. Albaugh, a member of the business litigation group who practices from the firm's downtown Indianapolis office. Albaugh, who joined Baker & Daniels in 2005 after working at Jenner & Block, received his bachelor's degree from Indiana University and law degree summa cum laude from the Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis.

Ryan C. Barker, who focuses his practice in intellectual property from Baker & Daniels' downtown Indianapolis office. Barker, who joined the firm in 2004 after working at Bose, McKinney & Evans, graduated from Duke University and the Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis.

Janelle Blankenship, a member of the business and corporate finance group who practices from the 96th Street Indianapolis office. Blankenship, who joined Baker & Daniels in 2004 after working at Jones Day, graduated summa cum laude from Ball State University and magna cum laude from the University of Notre Dame Law School.

Abigail M. Butler, who concentrates her practice in product liability from the firm's Fort Wayne office. Butler, who joined Baker & Daniels in 2000, received her bachelor's degree from Hillsdale College and law degree magna cum laude from Michigan State University – Detroit College of Law.

Philip J. Gutwein II, a member of the benefits and executive compensation group who practices from the firm's downtown Indianapolis office. Gutwein, who joined Baker & Daniels in 2004 after working at Ice Miller, graduated magna cum laude from Wabash College and cum laude from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in Bloomington.

Brad R. Maurer, who focuses his practice in intellectual property from Baker & Daniels' downtown Indianapolis office. Maurer, who joined the firm in 2005 after working at Bingham McHale, is a graduate of Purdue University and the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in Bloomington.

Shiv Ghuman O'Neill, a member of the firm's construction and real property litigation group who practices from the downtown Indianapolis office. O'Neill, who joined Baker & Daniels in 2002 after serving as in-house counsel at Procter & Gamble, received her bachelor's degree from Loyola University of Chicago and law degree magna cum laude from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in Bloomington.

Daniel R. Roy, who focuses his practice in business litigation from the downtown Indianapolis office. Roy joined Baker & Daniels in 1999, departed in 2006 to serve as Charter Schools Director for the City of Indianapolis and rejoined the firm in 2008. He graduated from DePauw University and magna cum laude from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in Bloomington.

April E. Sellers, a member of the business litigation group who practices from the firm's downtown Indianapolis office. Sellers joined Baker & Daniels in 1999, spent 3½ years in the administration of Indianapolis Mayor Bart Peterson and rejoined the firm in 2006. She received her bachelor's degree from Ohio Wesleyan University and law degree magna cum laude from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in Bloomington.
