Drinker Biddle Recognized as Top Firm by U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers
Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP has been recognized as one of the top law firms in the country by U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers, as more than 35 practice areas were ranked by the publications as leaders in national and regional scope.
The latest edition of the annual report, which covers 2013, gave the highest national recognition to the firm in areas of health care and mutual fund law. Nearly all of the firm’s office locations were recognized as “Tier 1” leaders across a variety of practice areas. Additionally, Bonnie A. Barnett was recognized as a “Lawyer of the Year” for the second time.
Barnett, a member of the firm’s Environmental Practice Group, was recognized for experience in environmental law and litigation. Drinker Biddle partners Jonathan I. Epstein, William L. Warren, Thomas F. Campion, Alfred W. Putnam and Robyn S. Shapiro have also received this recognition in the last two years.
The publication bases its annual rankings on client and lawyer evaluations, peer reviews and firm-submitted information. Criteria used for the rankings included responsiveness, understanding of businesses and their needs, cost-effectiveness, integrity and expertise. Firms were also ranked on whether clients or peers would refer another client to the firm.
