Scott Halbur Brings Agriculture Background to Legal Practice at Faegre Baker Daniels
Scott L. Halbur has joined Faegre Baker Daniels LLP as an associate in the law firm's Des Moines office. He is a member of the product liability and environmental practice group that defends, resolves, prevents and manages issues and litigation.
Before joining Faegre Baker Daniels, Halbur was an associate attorney with a firm in Davenport. He graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2011. At Iowa State University, Halbur earned a bachelor's degree in agricultural business and economics in 2005 and a master's degree in accounting in 2006.
Growing up on Halbur Farms near Carroll, Iowa, Halbur leverages a strong agriculture background with his legal practice. He helped manage the production of 55,000 hogs annually until divesture of the majority of the livestock segment in 2005.
Today, Halbur provides labor and consulting services to the family business which includes grain production in four Iowa counties. He also was an intern with John Deere Agri Services in Hoffman Estates, Ill., and a farm technician for Central Iowa Feeders in Glidden, Iowa.
