Tom Freeman Joins Government Team at Faegre Baker Daniels

Thomas C. Freeman has joined the government services team at Faegre Baker Daniels LLP as a government relations advisor in the firm's Minneapolis office. He will represent clients before the Minnesota legislature, state government agencies and local units of government.

As deputy political director for Minnesota's House Republican Campaign Committee (HRCC) in 2012, Freeman managed day-to-day operations for 30 targeted House races and 21 staff members. His role also included recruitment, direct mail, radio, targeted door knocking, precinct analysis, debate preparation and fundraising.

Previously, Freeman was committee administrator for the Minnesota Redistricting Committee in 2011-12. As the lead staff member, he was responsible for creating and redrawing legislative and congressional district boundaries. Freeman also assisted in the passage of the legislative and congressional district plans. During that time, he also was the committee administrator for the Capital Investment Committee.

Before joining Faegre Baker Daniels, Freeman spent one year managing trade show operations for Starkey Hearing Technologies in Eden Prairie, MN. From planning to execution, he interfaced with marketing and sales teams to oversee comprehensive operations in every trade show across the United States and select international sites. His duties also included budgeting, communication, logistics, sponsorships, travel arrangements, booth design and corporate social media at these shows.

In 2008, Freeman earned a bachelor's degree in political science from St. John's University in Collegeville, MN. He was a four-year player on the school's varsity hockey team, including being chosen assistant captain and most improved player during his senior season. Freeman also served on the dean's council committee.
