FaegreBD's Pro Bono Work Recognized by Colorado Supreme Court
On April 8, 2013, Faegre Baker Daniels LLP was honored for its outstanding service and pro bono achievement in 2012 at the Colorado Supreme Pro Bono Recognition.
Since 2006, the Colorado Supreme Court has recognized law firms, solo practitioners and in-house counsel groups that have committed to the annual goal of 50 hours of pro bono legal services by their Colorado-licensed attorneys, averaged across the firm.
Faegre Baker Daniels has met the 50-hour goal every year since 2006. In 2012, the firm's Colorado lawyers averaged 68 pro bono hours with 74 percent provided to low-income clients or organizations serving low-income clients. A recognition certificate was awarded to the firm by Colorado Supreme Court Chief Justice Michael Bender and Justice Gregory Hobbs.
Justice Hobbs also recognized FaegreBD partner David W. Stark for his pro bono contributions. Stark is a member of the Chief Justice's Commission on the Legal Profession and chair of the Community Outreach Working Group. By making a concerted effort to encourage pro bono work by Colorado law firms, Stark has helped the legal community realize a 43 percent increase in the number of pro bono hours to which Colorado lawyers have committed in 2013.
