Drinker Biddle Noted in The Washington Post

Drinker Biddle was noted in a Washington Post article titled, “Study: Virginia’s Latino renters treated differently from whites.” The article notes the firm’s involvement in a recent investigation, which concluded that Latinos attempting to rent homes in Virginia are often treated differently from whites. Washington, D.C., Regional Partner in Charge Maureen Donahue Hardwick, partner Greg Homer and associates Alex Karam and Jessica Khan worked on the study.

The firm, through its Barbara McDowell High Impact Pro Bono Initiative, partnered with the Equal Rights Center (ERC), a national non-profit civil rights organization, to release a testing-based report revealing that Latinos seeking rental housing across the Commonwealth of Virginia experienced at least one form of adverse treatment as compared to their white counterparts in 55 percent of inquiries.
