Faegre Baker Daniels Represents BesTV in Joint Venture with Microsoft

Faegre Baker Daniels represented BesTV New Media Co., Ltd. in setting up a $237 million joint venture with Microsoft. The joint venture, E-Home Entertainment Development, is among the first group of companies registered at the Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone.
E-Home Entertainment Development will engage in sales, distribution and marketing activities with respect to Microsoft's new generation of all-in-one gaming products. The business development implies that China may be lifting its ban on foreign game console sales within its borders.
Faegre Baker Daniels partner Wendy Yan led the team to complete the joint venture, which included associate Leo Tian, legal consultant James Zhang and partners Gary Weinstein and Brenda Robinson.
