Immigration Lawyer Catherine Betts Joins Faegre Baker Daniels in D.C.
Catherine H. Betts has joined Faegre Baker Daniels’ labor and employment practice group where she will focus on immigration and global mobility as an associate in the law firm’s Washington, D.C. office.
Betts brings experience in filing EB-2 and EB-3 PERM forms, I-140 petitions, and I-485 applications; assisting with I-9 compliance and E-Verify processes; and providing counsel on other employment-based immigration needs and strategies. Prior to joining FaegreBD, she was an associate with the Erickson Immigration Group in Arlington, Virginia.
Before graduating from George Mason University School of Law in 2014, she served as a law clerk with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in Falls Church, Virginia, spending time with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the Office of the Principal Legal Advisor (OPLA) and Immigration Law Practice Division (ILPD). Betts also was a law clerk with the U.S. Department of Justice in the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) and Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), as well as president of the Immigration Law Society at George Mason.
Betts studied Irish history at the National University of Ireland in Galway, Ireland, while earning a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2010.
