Bob Stoll Quoted in April 2015 The Recorder

Washington, D.C. partner Bob Stoll was quoted in The Recorder in an article titled, “Google Experiments with Patent Purchase Portal.” The article discussed Google’s open call for patents and the benefits that this may bring to the company. By purchasing these patents, Google will not face infringement suits on them.

Bob commented on Google’s decision not to assert the patents, and to only use them defensively. “If they’re telling everybody they’re never going to assert them, I think a lot of people would think it’s not really worth it to take a license,” he said.
