Bob Stoll Quoted in Bloomberg BNA

Washington, D.C. partner Bob Stoll was quoted in a Bloomberg BNA article titled, “New Technologies Make Banks a Magnet for Patent Trolls.” The article discussed the problem banks are facing with suits by patent assertion entities, or “patent trolls,” which is expected to reach record highs in 2015.

Bob said that many patent infringement cases can be resolved by increasing funds to the Patent and Trademark Office, which would allow staff to acquire additional databases and have the needed tools  to more thoroughly review patent applications, and become more educated on financial-services patents.
