FaegreBD Represents General Mills in Acquisition of Epic Provisions

Faegre Baker Daniels represented General Mills in acquiring Epic Provisions, a premium meat snacks company based in Austin, Texas. The acquisition was announced Jan. 6 and terms of the deal were not disclosed.

This transaction follows the 2014 acquisition of Annie’s, Inc. by General Mills. Since its acquisition, Annie’s has experienced significant sales growth. EPIC will operate under the Annie’s business and will maintain its presence in Austin.

Mark Pihlstrom, corporate partner in Minneapolis, led the FaegreBD deal team representing General Mills along with Miranda Hirner, Ashley Dorman, and attorneys in labor and employment, finance and restructuring, real estate, and product liability practice areas.
