22 Associates Join Faegre Baker Daniels in Nine Practices
Twenty-two new lawyers have joined Faegre Baker Daniels as associates in nine practices across eight of the firm’s U.S. and international locations.
Associates are joining the firm’s locations in Chicago, Ill.; Denver, Colo.; Des Moines, Iowa; Fort Wayne, Indianapolis and South Bend, Ind.; Minneapolis, Minn.; and London, U.K.
The additions include one new member of the ERISA, benefits and executive compensation group; three new lawyers in business litigation; five new corporate team members; seven in the finance and restructuring group; one addition to the intellectual property team; two labor and employment lawyers; two new members of the product liability and environmental team; and a new lawyer in the real estate group.

Chicago
Eric Scharphorn practices with FaegreBD’s corporate group. He received a law degree from the University of Michigan Law School in 2016 and a bachelor’s degree with distinction from the University of Michigan in 2012.
Denver
Joy Chung is a corporate lawyer. She received a law degree and an MBA from Washington University School of Law in 2016 and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa in 2011. Before law school, Chung was a literacy instructor and worked in restaurant management.
Kellen Wittkop practices with the business litigation group, resolving commercial disputes. She earned a law degree from Harvard Law School in 2016 and a bachelor’s degree cum laude from Colorado State University in 2013.
Des Moines
Matthew Hardin practices with the firm’s real estate group. He received a law degree with high distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law and a bachelor’s from Georgetown University, where he graduated magna cum laude. Before law school, Hardin was an elementary school teacher through Teach for America.
Fort Wayne
Sarah Noack works with FaegreBD’s labor and employment team. She received her law degree cum laude from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2016 and a bachelor’s degree in 2005 from Taylor University. Before her legal career, Noack served on the executive team of Worldwide Auctioneers.
Indianapolis
Samantha Chapman is a labor and employment lawyer. She earned a law degree from the Indiana University McKinney School of Law in 2015 and a bachelor’s degree magna cum laude in political science and psychology from Manchester College in 2012. Chapman was a clerk on the Indiana Court of Appeals from 2015-16.
Elizabeth Little is a member of the finance and restructuring practice. She graduated summa cum laude from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2016 after earning a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University- Purdue University Indianapolis in 2011.
Alexandra (Lexi) Fuson helps defend, resolve, prevent and manage product liability issues. She received her law degree magna cum laude from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2016 and a bachelor’s degree with high distinction in English from Indiana University in 2013.
Melissa Orizondo practices with the firm’s business litigation team. She received her law degree from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2016 and a bachelor’s degree with highest distinction in journalism in 2012.
Ashley (Nikki) Wethington is a corporate lawyer. She earned her law degree magna cum laude from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2016, a master’s degree in education from in 2011 and a bachelor’s degree in biology in 2008 from Purdue University.
South Bend
Eric Nichols practices with the finance and restructuring group after graduating cum laude from Notre Dame Law School in 2016. Nichols served nearly 20 years as a firefighter, including more than a decade of full-time employment, and is also an eight-year veteran of the U.S. Navy Reserve, where he served as a hospital corpsman in both clinical and field operations and deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Nichols received his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University South Bend in 2012.
Minneapolis
Courtney Baga is a business litigator. She received a law degree cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2016 and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota in 2012. Before law school, Baga was a professional figure skater and coach.
Emily Bodtke practices with the product liability litigation team. She earned her law degree summa cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School and a bachelor’s degree summa cum laude from Hillsdale College. Bodtke clerked in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit from 2015-16.
Matthew Enriquez litigates complex financial disputes as a member of the finance litigation team. He received a law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2015, master’s degree at Bowling Green State University in 2012 and bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas in 2010. Enriquez was a clerk in the Minnesota Court of Appeals from 2015-16.
Kelly Fermoyle focuses on patent litigation and related intellectual property matters as a member of the firm’s IP group. He earned his law degree summa cum laude from the Mitchell Hamline School of Law, his master’s degree magna cum laude from Penn State University and a bachelor’s degree from Saint John’s University.
Nicholas Fohey is a member of the finance and restructuring group following a clerkship with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Wisconsin from 2015-16. He graduated from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2015 and earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa in 2011.
Peter Kieselbach is a finance and restructuring lawyer after serving as a clerk in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota in 2015-16. He graduated valedictorian from the Mitchell Hamline School of Law in 2015. Kieselbach earned a bachelor’s degree from Grinnell College in 2010.
David Moon is a member of the finance and restructuring practice following graduation from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2016. After receiving his bachelor’s degree summa cum laude from the University of California at Los Angeles in 2011, he was a ministry trainee with Living Stream Ministry Training in Anaheim, California, from 2011-13.
Jonny Nemani is a corporate lawyer. He received a law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2016 and a bachelor’s degree from Emory University in 2011. Previously, Nemani helped an acquisitions team at one of New York’s largest real estate development and investment firms analyze acquisition opportunities.
Joshua Peterson practices with the finance and restructuring group after serving as a law clerk with the Minnesota Court of Appeals in 2015-16. He graduated summa cum laude from the Mitchell Hamline School of Law in 2015 and Hamline University with a bachelor’s degree in 2012.
Mark Rosenfeld is a member of the ERISA, benefits and executive compensation practice. He received a law degree magna cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2016 and a bachelor’s degree from Miami University in 2006. Rosenfeld spent six years working in politics and government prior to law school.
Corey Uchtman is a registered patent attorney and a member of the intellectual property group. He received a law degree from the Mitchell Hamline School of Law in 2016 and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Cincinnati in 2008. Before starting his legal career, Uchtman worked at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and as an engineer.
London
Jeannette Meyer practices with the firm’s corporate group. She received an LLM in Professional Legal Practice in 2015, an LPC in 2014 and a GDL in 2012 from BPP Law School. She also earned a Ph.D. in 2013 and a master’s degree with merit in international relations from London Metropolitan University in 2004, as well as a bachelor’s degree in political science and history from Trier University in 2003.
