Bryan Bloom Joins Drinker Biddle’s Corporate and Securities and Private Client Groups in New Jersey

Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP has enhanced its tax and corporate capabilities with the addition of Bryan Bloom, who joins the firm as counsel residing in the Florham Park office.

“Bryan’s two decades of substantive and varied tax expertise make him a tremendous asset to our team and clients,” said Neil Haimm, partner and Chair of the Corporate and Securities Practice Group. “He brings a proven record of assisting companies and investors with the corporate and tax aspects of transactions, as well as assisting individuals, families and fiduciaries with personal tax and estate planning.”

Previously, Mr. Bloom was general counsel for W.R. Huff Asset Management. For more than 20 years, his practice focused on structuring investments and joint venture and partnership arrangements for W.R. Huff, its Funds and their portfolio companies. He also oversaw outside counsel while providing general legal advice to senior management.   During his tenure he also provided counsel on family office related issues.

Prior to W.R. Huff Asset Management, Mr. Bloom worked at Shanley & Fisher, P.C. (which combined with Drinker Biddle in 1999). During his tenure at Shanley, he was elevated to partner, a role in which he provided complex estate planning and related services to his clients.

“Bryan is a well-known and highly regarded lawyer who has strong connections with the New Jersey legal and business communities,” said Andrew Joseph, Partner-in-Charge of the firm’s Florham Park office. “We’ve worked closely with Bryan over the years and as we continue to grow our practices, we are pleased to add another high quality lawyer and person to our team.”

Mr. Bloom was a senior attorney editor for Thomson Reuters and previously taught corporate and partnership taxation and estate planning at both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Farleigh Dickinson University Graduate School of Accounting.
