Maureen Donahue Hardwick featured in Washington Lawyer
Maureen Donahue Hardwick was featured in a Washington Lawyer article on family friendly leave policies. As regional partner in charge of the Washington D.C. office and a member of the firm’s Women’s Leadership Committee, Maureen said that Drinker Biddle’s policy allows both mothers and fathers the freedom to be part of their children’s early lives. She emphasized that firms developing parental leave and related policies should have open discussion with employees to find out what people value and want.
“The beginning of a child’s life is special,” she said. “Having a family leave policy that promotes both parents being at home leads to balance between work and family and even within the family, which is important for overall employment satisfaction.”
