FaegreBD Consulting Client IRAP Secures 2,500 Visas for Afghan Allies

Faegre Baker Daniels Consulting’s pro bono client, the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP), celebrated another milestone on behalf of U.S. allies in Afghanistan with the inclusion of 2,500 visas for Afghan allies in the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017.

“Our Afghan partners have faced unacceptable delays due to congressional inaction, which can only endanger our troops and other U.S. Government personnel. This legislation fills the gap and provides safe passage for translators and other staff who face serious danger for their service,” said Betsy Fisher, Policy Director of IRAP.

FaegreBD Consulting has worked with IRAP on a pro bono basis for four years, having provided federal affairs assistance to get the SIV program extended and expanded through 2016. FaegreBD Consulting Directors Beena Patel and Josh Andrews are the primary consulting professionals supporting IRAP.
