Faegre Baker Daniels Consulting's Government Relations Team Names Donovan Hurd as Advisor

Donovan Hurd has been promoted to the position of advisor in the Faegre Baker Daniels Consulting government relations team. Having previously served as a legislative assistant with the firm, he will continue to work in the Minneapolis office.

Hurd will represent clients before the Minnesota Legislature, state agencies and local units of government. A former legislative assistant and administrator in the Minnesota State Senate, he will help clients navigate challenges and identify opportunities that emerge from government processes and regulations.

Hurd’s experience in the Minnesota Senate includes a three-year stint as a leadership assistant and administrator in the Senate Tax Committee, during which he assessed the tax implications of all proposed Senate bills, participated in final bill negotiations, communicated with the majority leader about potential conflicts, and managed staff to ensure committee and constituent issues were addressed. He also held positions with the Environmental and Natural Resources Committee and the Judiciary Budget Committee.

Hurd received a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of St. Thomas in 2005.
