Elie Biel Joins Faegre Baker Daniels in Minneapolis

Elie Biel has joined Faegre Baker Daniels as an associate in the firm’s Minneapolis office. He will practice with FaegreBD’s product liability team.

Biel helps clients in the medical and medical device fields prevent and manage risk and pursue favorable solutions through arbitration, mediation, settlement or trial. He is experienced in motion practice, fact and expert discovery, legal research and writing, trial advocacy, and civil litigation.

Prior to joining FaegreBD, Biel was a health care liability associate at the Minneapolis office of Meagher & Geer. Before that, he served as a judicial law clerk to Judge Thomas D. Hayes in Minnesota’s 10th Judicial District. During law school, he worked as a law clerk in the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office and the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office, and further served as a judicial extern to Judge Lawrence B. Stauber, Jr., at the Minnesota Court of Appeals. 

He is a graduate from the University of Minnesota Law School, where he received his J.D. magna cum laude. Biel earned his B.A. in history and political science from the University of Rochester.
