In Memoriam: Dan Monaco
Our friend and partner Dan Monaco passed away on August 2, 2017, after a brief illness.
Dan was a partner in our Intellectual Property Practice Group, having joined us from the Philadelphia IP firm Seidel, Gonda, Lavorgna & Monaco, P.C., which combined with Drinker Biddle in 2001. He was a distinguished registered patent attorney since 1981, having prepared and prosecuted hundreds of applications, primarily in chemistry and biotechnology, for a variety of business and academic clients. Dan also counseled clients extensively on international patent protection, working through an expansive network of overseas associates.
Dan received his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1977 and his J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law in 1981.
Dan was a great colleague and friend, and will be missed. He will continue to be a part of the fabric of our firm.
There will be a viewing on Tuesday, August 8, from 6-8 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home, 601 Route 73 S, Marlton, N.J.
On Wednesday, August 9, there will be a viewing at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 27 Kresson Gibbsboro Road, Gibbsboro, N.J., followed by a funeral mass. Burial will take place after the mass at Holy Cross Cemetery, 626 Baily Rd, Yeadon, PA.
