Former U.S. Department of Justice Prosecutor Antonio M. Pozos Joins Drinker Biddle

Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP has expanded its White Collar Defense and Corporate Investigations Team with the addition of Antonio M. Pozos, a former trial attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice Criminal Division, Fraud Section. He will reside in the firm’s Philadelphia office.

During his time with the DOJ, Mr. Pozos prosecuted health systems, health system executives, home health care agency owners, doctors and other health care industry professionals for health care fraud and other major offenses as part of the Medicare Fraud Strike Force and Corporate Strike Force. His significant experience also includes prosecuting former Drug Enforcement Administration agents for offenses involving narcotics distribution, robbery, firearms, obstruction of justice, perjury, falsifying records and conversion.

Mr. Pozos also worked in private practice at a major international law firm in Washington, D.C., where he handled litigation and investigations involving investment fraud, securities and commercial fraud, money laundering, insider trading and the False Claims Act. He has represented foreign and domestic corporate clients, as well as individuals, in international investigations and litigation.

Mr. Pozos earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School and graduated from Harvard College with his bachelor’s degree. In 2017, he received the HHS Inspector General’s Cooperative Achievement Award for his prosecution of a groundbreaking case against a publicly traded hospital operator.
