Sarah Brew Named 2018 ‘Women in Business' Honoree by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal

Sarah Brew, Faegre Baker Daniels partner and leader of the firm’s food litigation and regulatory practice, has been selected as an honoree for the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal’s (MSPBJ) 2018 ‘Women in Business’ awards.

The awards honor industry-leading professionals, taking into account individual accomplishments, industry leadership, community leadership, civic engagement and more.

As one of the best-known food lawyers in the country, Brew was recognized for her work defending food companies in complex food safety and food-labeling litigation across the country. She also provides food industry clients with practical, business-sensitive advice on food regulatory and business issues. Sarah’s vision and leadership have helped build a team of attorneys who truly understand the food industry’s legal and business challenges and who uniquely integrate regulatory, transactional and litigation services.

In addition to her practice, the MSPBJ took note of Brew’s service on the board of directors for Midwest Art Conservation Center—a non-profit regional organization that advocates for the preservation and conservation of art and artifacts. She also serves as co-chair of the American Bar Association’s Food & Dietary Supplements Subcommittee of the Section of Litigation.

As a leading voice in food law, Sarah speaks nationally at food law conferences and before industry groups, including the Grocery Manufacturers Association, the Food and Drug Law Institute, the Food Marketing Institute, and the International Association for Food Protection, among others. She was recently elected to Food Lawyers Network International, a global network of attorneys recognized for expertise in food law.

The publication will recognize the 2018 ‘Women in Business’ honorees at a luncheon on May 17 in Minneapolis.
