David McNeill Joins FaegreBD's Insurance Practice as Counsel in Des Moines

David McNeill has joined Faegre Baker Daniels’ insurance practice as counsel and will be a resident in the Des Moines office.

In his role, McNeill will provide strategic legal counsel to insurance companies and other persons and entities in the financial services sector.

McNeill joins FaegreBD with nearly three decades of in-house experience at FBL Financial Group (whose subsidiaries and managed affiliates include: Farm Bureau Life Insurance Company, Farm Bureau Property & Casualty Insurance Company, FBL Marketing Services, LLC and FBL Investment Advisory Services, Inc.).

At FBL Financial Group, McNeill led many projects and initiatives instrumental to the organization’s growth and operations. As general counsel from 2009-2018, he oversaw the day-to-day legal affairs of the company, including managing a legal department of 10 attorneys.

McNeill received a law degree with honors from Drake University Law School in Des Moines and also received a bachelor of arts degree from Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa.
