Drinker Biddle Announces New Litigation Group Leadership Team

National law firm Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP today announced the new leadership team for its Litigation Group. Dan Collins, one of the firm’s managing partners, will chair the group, and partners Joanne Lewers and Andrew Joseph will serve as vice chairs.

“Dan, Joanne and Andrew are exceptional litigators who bring extraordinary leadership qualities to these roles. Each is highly regarded within the legal industry and by their peers, and their experience will benefit all aspects of the litigation practice,” said Andrew C. Kassner, chairman and CEO. “We couldn’t ask for a more respected, capable team to lead this group.”

Drinker Biddle’s nationally recognized Litigation Group has more than 125 lawyers throughout the United States who represent some of the most prominent U.S. and global companies in their most complex litigation matters.

“I’m looking forward to leading this talented team as we continue to provide superior service to help our clients achieve the best possible outcomes,” said Collins, who is based in Drinker Biddle’s Chicago office.

Collins serves as co-chair of the firm’s White Collar Defense and Corporate Investigations practice. He is a former Assistant United States Attorney and a highly respected white-collar defense lawyer who represents companies and executives in response to government investigations.

Lewers, based in Philadelphia, has held a number of key leadership positions at Drinker Biddle with the most recent being co-chair of the Antitrust practice and National Hiring Partner. In addition to advising companies in antitrust cases, she is highly sought after by clients to lead their consumer protection and other complex litigation matters.

Joseph’s vast experience working across most areas of litigation has made him a go-to lawyer for everything from business disputes and consumer class-action lawsuits, to securities litigation and white-collar criminal investigations and prosecutions. He is a former member of the firm’s managing partners and currently serves as the regional partner in charge of Drinker Biddle’s Florham Park, New Jersey, office.

“These partners instill a lot of confidence in the rest of our litigation team,” said Kassner. “It’s a comfort to know that we will take great strides forward under Dan, Joanne, and Andrew’s leadership.”
