ISBA Honors Pablo Svirsky With Community Service Award

The Indiana State Bar Association (ISBA) honored Associate Pablo Svirsky with its Community Service Award, which honors exceptional nonlegal community service work.

Svirsky has taken an intimate approach to public service, working to address community needs on a person by person basis. He has indelible ties to United Way of Central Indiana (UWCI), having served on its Committee on Diversity and leading Faegre Baker Daniels’ annual fundraising campaign for UWCI for the past two years (setting firm records in the process).

Svirsky was an avid participant in UWCI’s Generation Now series, which rallied leaders under age 35 to identify and ameliorate challenges impacting Central Indiana communities. For his part, Svirsky spearheaded a 2014 service project benefitting the Forest Manor Multi-Service Center (FMMSC), a vital hub for family programming and social services in an area that had long gone underserved.

Currently, Svirsky is deeply involved with North United Methodist Church, having led several internal efforts to shore up community resources. He handles logistics for the church’s soup kitchen, coordinating weekly pickup and deliveries of fresh baked goods for approximately 200 residents per week. Svirsky also serves as the Chair of the Land Use Committee, leading a development project aimed at bringing affordable housing and a grocery store to a food desert.
