Libby Baney Named a Burton Award Winner for Distinguished Legal Writing in 2020
Government and regulatory affairs partner Libby Baney received a 2020 Burton Award for Distinguished Legal Writing. The award was presented to 25 partners who were authors of legal articles from the nation’s 1,000 largest law firms. The winners in the “Law360 Distinguished Legal Writing Awards — Law Firm” category demonstrated clarity, cogency and persuasive legal writing.
Baney and coauthor Niamh M. Lewis, National Association of Boards of Pharmacy, wrote the article “Internet Pharmacies: Trends, Opportunities and Risks,” which ran in the June 2019 issue of the American Bar Association’s Health Lawyer publication and explored law enforcement and regulatory efforts to stop rogue online pharmacies. The 2020 Burton Award honorees were recognized at an event on Oct. 18, 2021.
Baney serves as a dynamic public policy advocate, attorney, strategist and facilitator. Clients hire her to delve deep into the issues, devise a strategy and execute on many fronts.
